"The New Jim Crow" book cover

Learning for Justice is proud to present: Teaching The New Jim Crow with Michelle Alexander. This webinar walks participants through the teaching guide for Michelle Alexander's The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness. The guide provides resources and support educators and students need to explore the critical social justice issues at the center of Alexander's work. During the hour, participants explore standards-based strategies and tasks that guide students' close reading of The New Jim Crow and help teachers facilitate classroom conversations about systems of racial control and the criminal justice system.
